Biography
THE 510

Rayven Justice is a recording artist, singer and songwriter from East Oakland, California, and the architect of R&Bay, Bay Area soul built on hometown bass. He began performing alongside his younger brother Raymen as the Justice Brothers, and the two made each other a promise: they would never attend KMEL's Summer Jam as spectators, only as performers. Raymen was murdered at seventeen. Rayven dedicated his life to the talent God blessed him with, in his brother's name, and resolved to let nothing stop him. Four years later he opened Summer Jam at Oracle Arena, keeping the promise alone.
He entered the industry rapping and quickly moved into the melodic, edgy R&B that became his signature: a complete mash-up, as one early profile put it, of R&B with a hip-hop beat and plenty of bass. "Throw the Cash" broke in 2010 and anchored the 2011 mixtape Something About Rayven; Both Sides of the Tracks followed in 2012. "Slide Thru" put him in rotation on KMEL 106.1, drew an official remix from Migos, and earned a place among Complex's ten best new songs in the country. He signed on as a Young California artist under DJ Carisma, founded Rayven Justice Music Group with Rita Lee in 2013, and secured distribution through EMPIRE.
The I Have a Dream EP arrived on August 19, 2014, expanding that November into a seventeen-track deluxe. "Hit or Nah" became his furthest-traveling record, drawing a remix from French Montana and a second adding Keyshia Cole; Waka Flocka Flame joined "Slide Thru." He toured nationally with Problem and performed at EMPIRE's first Unplugged session in San Francisco. Twenty-one albums and EPs have followed in a decade, alongside more than 66 television placements. He has written and recorded with Keyshia Cole, E-40, Case, Eric Bellinger, Ty Dolla $ign, Yungeen Ace, Too $hort, The Game, Ice Cube, Migos, Jim Jones, Krayzie Bone, Cam'ron, Mozzy, Fetty Wap, Rich The Kid, Lil B, Iamsu!, Mistah F.A.B., Pleasure P and TeeFlii, and cut anthems for his city: "Oaklandish" with Guapdad 4000, "Live and Die in the Bay," the SF Giants Anthem and "Raider Colors."
His pace has not slowed. Justice For All (2023) and Wavy Motion (2024) kept the run unbroken; BACK 2 1950 (2025) recut his own catalog as vintage soul; SINGING OUT THE TRENCHES (2025) brought Keak Da Sneak, Yhung T.O., Zoe Osama and Yak Gotti home to East Oakland. His catalog has passed 23 million views on YouTube alone, led by "Why Me" at 5.3 million and "Hit or Nah" at 4.1 million, and he has continued releasing new singles every few weeks through 2026. Sixteen years after making his brother a promise, Rayven Justice is still recording from the 510, still plowing through barriers, and still keeping his word.
The Sound
R&Bay is Rayven Justice's own coinage for the lane he built: melodic, edgy R&B vocals over the uptempo Bay bounce and heavy low end that KMEL made a format: the wave the industry called RnBass. He came in rapping and morphed into singing, and he has held the same lane for fifteen years while the trends moved around him.
