DMCA & Copyright Policy

Audio Lounge respects the rights of copyright owners and follows the notice-and-takedown framework of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512). This page explains how to submit a takedown notice, how to submit a counter-notice, and our repeat-infringer policy.

Submitting a takedown notice

Email your notice to dmca@audioloungela.com. A valid notice must include all of the following:

  1. A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on the platform (the URL).
  4. Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.

We act on complete notices within 48 hours: the material is removed or disabled, and the uploader is notified with a copy of the notice.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address containing:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal.
  3. A statement, under penalty of perjury, of your good-faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification.
  4. Your name, address, and telephone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the Central District of California.

Unless the complainant files a court action, removed material is restored within 10 to 14 business days of a valid counter-notice.

Repeat infringers

Accounts that accumulate two substantiated infringement claims within twelve months are terminated. Live broadcasts containing infringing material are terminated immediately.

Live content

Because live streams cannot be removed after the fact, enforcement for live content is immediate stream termination plus a strike against the account.
